Would a Spaniard understand me if I spoke to him in Latin?

If I learned to speak Latin, would people from countries with Romance languages be able to understand me?
For example, if I spoke to a Spanish person in Latin would he understand me? I don't necessarily mean word for word, but enough to hold some kind of pseudo conversation?

Maybe someone could understand you, but to have a conversation you two should know it very well, and now Latin is not spoken but only read… actually a lot of Italian words are very similar to Latin so maybe someone could understand, but I don’t know Spanish.
no, better to learn spanish, it is one of the most spoken languAges in the world, nowadays only some priests speak latin.
they might be able to read what you write, but the pronunciations are usually different.
similar to the relationship between english and german.
That is a tough one. I guess the best thing to do is give a try and see what happens.
No, Spanish person learn latin to understand Catholic Church, but Latin is a dead language not easy to learn because is not spoken in the world.
I know what you mean about certain words are alike in Spanish and Latin but is not easy to follow.
I’m italian and I didn’t learn or study spanish, but I can understand it! And, if you speak to me in latin, I won’t understand a thing! Except some words that are similar…
However, if I understood it, I wouldn’t take 5/10 in my last translation of a piece of a latin text!
I’m sorry if there are mistakes.
