Is there any reason, beside the fact that the Roman Catholic mass is still said in Latin in parts...What about people who are not Catholics,,,what is the purpose of learning LATIN?

if ur goin to the medical field in college latin will help you greatly-when it comes to terms n all that. thats probly it, its already a dead language but a lot of languages have derived from latin so it would b kinda easier for you to learn french
To be educated in the classical sense… Oh, nevermind. Methinks it’s a lost cause trying to explain.
In school you can learn any language that the school offers! Like my school offered Latin, Spanish, French, and Japanese. It’s just a class but you have to take it, I chose Spanish!
Not only did I had to learn Latin, I had to learn greek too.
You are lucky to have learned Latin. Many schools do not offer it any more. You can probably learn any language once you have learned that. If you happen to go to medical school, you will need some basic Latin there too…
It’s just the same as learning Algebra and Trigonometry…….pointless!!
