I think it would be very cool to be able to speak a very dead language(wich is older than latin.) What dead language has the most resources and largest number of people who talk about it and understand it,.

I would say Sanscrit. A lot of languages come from it, in India in almost every school people learn it and it’s also the language of Hindu religion. it’s older than Latin and has a huge library of resources.
Ancient Greek also, but I think sanscrit here is a winner
ancient greek- all greek teachers have to learn ANCIENT greek first before they become teachers so I guess it has the largest numer of people who talk about it and understand it.
btw ancient greek is VERY different to modern greek
Japanese and Chinese (Madarin) are both old languages. They are still in use after thousands of years. You can also try classical Greek.
sumerian
Sign language is the oldest I believe.
ancient Chinese, Persian, ancient Greek,
Try ancient Greek or Sanskrit. Those are fairly dead, but still have a fair number of people who speak them.
Also, at the risk of sounding like I’m pimping something (which I kind of am), if you’re into languages few people speak, go to http://www.lojban.org to learn about the Lojban language (not exactly dead, more like newborn, but it sounds right up your alley, and it’s easier to learn than Greek or Sanskrit).
Hope that helps!
The Vedas are now accepted to be 6000 years old – the oldest scriptures in the world. They were
written in Sanskrit.

I’ve heard somewhere (not sure if it’s the truth) that Albanian is the oldest language that has not changed from it’s origins.
