Tattoo Font question Latin language experts?

Im getting a tattoo written in Latin, I want it to be a cursive design, does anyone know of any Cursive style writing that may have been used originally in the days of the Latin language? any help would be great. Thanx

    i don’t know if they used any cursive
    as far as i know they had no calligraphy tradition
    most of the preserved latin writing was written on wax covered tablets so it was very simple lines

    I don’t know so much about the type of cursive they used but you could pick out a design from fonts online or through out some books they should have in the shop for lettering. I have a latin phrase on my chest and its just cursive with the I’s dotted differently.

    Well, you strike out on that one. Classic Latin was written in all capital letters using our current alphabet – but no J, no U, no W. There was no punctuation, and there were no word separations.

    Take a Latin saying like:

    Audentes Fortuna Juvat = Fortune favors the bold.

    In written Latin of the classic time, that would be:

    AVDENTESFORTVNAIVVAT.

    If you want cursive, go for it – but there’s nothing you can use as a model.
