Is it like studying the English language? I want to study Latin instead of Spanish. For any of you who ever took Florida Virtual School, do you know if Latin I is hard?

But I heard English language came from Latin.

i need outline help. I started talking about English language. then i talked about french integrating into english and bringing in latin roots. i need suggestions on what other angles i could present.

Okay so i asked a similar question before and have decide to either take a year of latin or mandarin chinese. Latin because it will help me understand the english language better and help in SATs. Mandarin chinese because it really helps in business. If I only have one year to learn part of the language which would be better?
