i'm on my own. i took 2 years of latin in HS, but quit last year to pursue other classes. i now wish to try to learn it on my own. how long should this take? any free resources? paid resources?

If you are trying to learn to speak latin fluently, it will take 3+ years.
Try a total immersion course. You will learn more with two weeks of that than with a year of normal school and they’re generally not that expensive.
