How hard is it to learn Latin, if you're already good at English?

Well I speak 4 languages, so mastering grammar is pretty easy.

Latin isn’t a hard language. Although it takes a short while to get used to the system of declension and conjugation, it soon becomes second nature. After taking it for 3 years, I know every verb and noun form that exists in Latin.
English doesn’t help too much. It’s more that Latin improves your English. Also, if after you take Latin you move onto a Romance language, it makes it easy as pie, because you already understand verb forms and the languages are half the same.
You’ll never be fluent, of course, because no one speaks Latin, but within 2 or 3 years you’ll be translating Caesar and Catullus.
Latin pronunciation is similar to Spanish. Its structure is similar to the German. The words are similar to the ones in Spanish and Italian.
Unfortunately English won’t help you much with it.
¿Is it hard? Yes, a lot. It takes too many time and you don’t have movies or news to see in that language.
For an English person, I give Latin an average difficulty rating. Pronounciation is pretty easy, but grammar a bit tricky.
Head over to Latinum, download a few of the Adler lessons, and find out.
