Which language is easier is relative due to a lot of things. However, English is a West Germanic language that originated in Anglo-Saxon England. Meaning that you might find German or Dutch easier to learn than Latin based languages.

If those are your only choices, then learn Spanish since it will be more useful around the world than Latin.

Latin is still really hard to learn. Definitely take Spanish!!! You'll actually use it as well.

Vatican City is virtually the only place where Latin is the official language. It hasn't been in widespread use since the medieval times in Europe.

Personally, I would base it on not what is easier but, what you will do with it. If you plan on going into the science or medical field, a lot of the things are classified by Latin words. If you plan on going into a field such as teaching, business, etc--Spanish will be the way to go since it will give you a great edge on those that are not bilingual.

If you plan on taking languages later, take Latin, as it helps with learning other languages. However, Latin focuses more on roots, grammatical stuff, etc. Otherwise, take Spanish. It is quite easy.
