Does anyone know of a quality Web resource for Latin pronunciation?
It's nice that I have learned the meaning of the phrase "uti possidetis." However, I would like to be able to pronounce it. Yes, I know that some latin phrases appear in online dictionaries, which increasingly come equipped with pronunciation tools. However, not all the phrases I'm learning, which can be found in Wikipedia, appear in standard online dictionaries.

It´s hard to find scholars agreeing on the one correct way to prronounce Latin, as we simpy don´t have any "native speakers" left.
However, a single consonant, as opposed to today, tends to be pronounced like a double, so for "uti", the pronounciation is NOT "ootee", but "utti" – short U, stress on the short U.
"possidetis" – stress on the "de" syllable, as it is the last but one and marks the verb form. So "possi" will be like the English syllable in "possessive".
"de" with a long E (not ee), "-tis" needs a short EE sound and will be like the obsolete English "´tis" as in Shakespearean "´tis night, my friend".
Therefore: "utti possi-dee-tis". Hope it works typed out like that…
