I've noticed many people ask questions about latin in the language section. That made me courious. Do they teach latin at schools or do people just learn it because they want to? Is it common to learn latin in the United States? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Some schools teach Latin, although I wouldn’t say it’s common to learn. It’s slowly falling out of the school systems due to a lack of teachers and a lack of student interest. Spanish is probably the most popular and common language to learn in American schools.
some colleges provide the facility to teach latin at their premises.thats why some people try this in latin
Yeah they dont really teach latin except maybe at some colleges. Probably because the language isnt very commonly used and its an older language with lots of big syllables and words. Spanish is most common but Mandarin Chinese , German, and French are becoming more popular. Im taking both Mandarin and German. Next year my school may have an arabic class. Our spanish teacher is a military translator who also knows arabic
