Sorry if I seem snarky. It's just that I've seen people respond to questions asking about Latin translations in Spanish(usually very bad Spanish at that).

Thanks winarabbit. I'm taking Latin this semester(took it for 2 years in high school, picking it up again). I've always been fascinated by the language and ancient Roman culture, so I guess that's why this annoys me so.
All of modern day English finds it's origins in either Latin or Greek. What language was the biggest influence on our language today? Latin or Greek?
